Finance Business Partner

This is a fixed-term contractor role within the K3 Advisory Group Finance team, dedicated to the Technology Solutions division. The primary purpose of the role is to lead a structured project to redesign, enhance and embed KPI and Management Information (MI) reporting - delivering reporting outputs that meet the needs of operational management, Divisional Directors, and Group/PE House reporting requirements.

The role reports into the Technology Solutions Financial Controller and close collaboration with Divisional senior management team and Group Finance team.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Financial Controller with the end-to-end design and implementation of a revised KPI and MI reporting framework, including financial, operational and SaaS-specific metrics.

• Develop and maintain a master KPI library including definitions, calculation methodologies, ownership, and agreed refresh cadence.

• Assess the feasibility of proposed KPIs and MI, evaluating data availability

• Identify gaps or limitations in the current system configuration and work with the relevant teams to improve data capture, coding, and extraction.

• Build, test and embed quality MI packs for monthly management reporting in relevant tool (Excel / Power BI / Other – to be determined through project).

• Present MI outputs and project progress updates to the Financial Controller, and senior management, clearly communicating insight, trends and recommended actions.

• Provide ad hoc financial and commercial analysis to support the Financial Controller and decision-making within the division or wider Group as required.

• Support the Financial Controller with other key projects as required.

Person specification

Essential

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with post-qualification experience at Financial Controller or equivalent level.

• Proven track record designing and delivering MI/KPI reporting improvements, ideally within a technology, SaaS, managed services, or professional services business.

• Experience with an ERP and evaluating data availability and system readiness before committing to a reporting design; comfortable identifying what is and isn't achievable within current system constraints.

• Advanced Excel/Power BI skills; ability to build structured, auditable MI reporting.

• Comfortable working independently in an agile, acquisition-led environment with competing priorities and evolving data landscapes.

• Excellent stakeholder management — able to translate finance requirements for non-finance audiences and present to Director and C-Suite level.

Desirable

• Prior contractor experience operating within a Group Finance function alongside an incumbent permanent team.

• Familiarity with recurring revenue / SaaS business model KPIs (ARR, churn, NRR, etc.).

• Experience with Sage 200, Sage CRM, SQL.
